Recruiting on behalf of a leading consultancy. Seeking an experienced Senior Python Software Engineer to join a team working with a major client in the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable software solutions using Python.
• Build and maintain APIs and distributed systems.
• Contribute to technical architecture and design decisions.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve system performance.
• Work closely with engineering, product and business teams.
• Support CI/CD, cloud and DevOps improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote strong development practices.

Key Skills

• Minimum 4+ years’ Python engineering experience, working in a senior capacity.
• Strong Python experience with FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Strong AWS experience, including cloud-native/serverless solutions.
• Experience developing APIs and scalable distributed systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and modern DevOps practices.
• Exposure to AI development tools
• Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
